We took a shot at documenting Boston’s local food scene and came up with this website as a resource. We hope you find it useful in exploring and learning about Boston’s food network, and we’d love to hear your thoughts on how to improve it. Check out our map and the categorized lists through the boxes below to begin exploring.

The Support Network – Facilitators

The support network is a huge part of what makes local food in Boston successful, and there are tons of opportunities for you to get plugged in.

Our Network

Local food systems are complicated networks. There are a number of people doing great work to support the Boston food system. We want to show off all of their efforts in one place and tie the Boston food system together with your help.

What constitutes “local?” Help us decide! If you consider an organization tied closely to the Greater Boston food system, than it should be included! We've rounded up our own list, but please suggest companies to add, make connections, and give feedback on how we can make this a better resource for the Boston community.

We chose to sort this information into categories by role: producers, distributors, prepared food, food rescue, and facilitators.

Help Us Help You!

The goal of this resource is for it to be helpful for a range of participants in the local food system. We want to hear from you!
